If I ever get there - given the attention my blondielocks (aka "toehead") are likely to attract - my plan is either to do the same, or, to grow out my mustache really big and dye both it and my hair jet black and try to "pass" as a local.
Passing in India is not your destiny my friend...you'll just have to get used to 45 kids surrounding you at every tourist attraction, shouting "HI", asking for your name, country, and coins from your nation.
